Over the weekend I had fun unwinding and relaxing as I looked through artworks dating all the way back to 2003. Some art sketches and others were class projects and one is just inspiration that had to be put on paper :)

All of these are works of art I created, then photographed and then re-worked in Adobe Photoshop.

Inspiration

My husband and I purchased a lot to build a house. I am very excited to use my creative design talents to pick colors, materials and make it our home by making some beautiful artwork! Stayed tuned to see the progression :)

Self-Portraits

So I am going to expand my original thoughts on the purpose of this blog to include a view of my past works and where "I was" when I made them. I believe art can be a window to who I am. I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to give me ANY feedback or comments!


This is an oil painting I did this past summer 2009 "Self in Sunglasses"

This is a sketch I did for a charcoal drawing. 1998

 

Here was the final charcoal drawing...it was Eve crying and I used myself for the inspiration

It seems I wrote text on some of many of my works. The text on here is hard to read because it is fading away. It says "You never really see where the true sadness comes from"

This was a sketch made for a future drawing. 1998

 

Here was the final drawing the above sketch was for. The project was to make a drawing with something  missing and then make what is missing appear in color. So as you can see...

This was a photo Eric took of me when we were on vacation in Mexico. I uploaded the photo to Illustrator.

I drew a graphite sketch of a tattoo which was inspired from the Book of Kells.

and then incorporated with the photo in Illustrator resulting in this work. 2007
